Mechatronics Engineering Department at Al Janad University for Science and Technology organized a scientific field visit for its fifth-cohort students to Lojina Mineral Water Factory. The visit, part of the department’s extracurricular program for the current academic year, aimed to enhance students’ applied learning by exposing them to real-world industrial practices.

Throughout the visit, students observed key stages of the production process, including the molding and cleaning of plastic bottles, water purification and filtration techniques, and fully automated bottling and packaging systems operated through Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs). The visit offered students a practical perspective on the theories and systems they study in the classroom, particularly in courses such as Industrial Automation and PLC Systems.

Dr. Marwan Al-Asali, Head of the Mechatronics Engineering Department, noted that field visits like this serve as a vital complement to theoretical instruction. “They play a crucial role in reinforcing students’ understanding, expanding their technical knowledge, and preparing them to meet the evolving demands of the job market,” he said.

Dr. Al-Asali also expressed his appreciation to the university leadership and Faculty of Engineering for their ongoing support of applied learning initiatives. He extended special thanks to the management of Lojina Factory for their warm reception and active cooperation, emphasizing that fostering education is a shared responsibility that contributes to both community development and national progress.

The visit aligns with the university’s broader mission to provide a holistic educational experience that integrates academic excellence with practical application, ultimately preparing graduates to excel in their careers and serve society effectively.
