The Professional Accreditation Program for foreign workers bound for Saudi Arabia was officially launched today in the interim capital, Aden, with the participation of Al-Janad University for Science and Technology, represented by its President, Prof. Mohyeddine Al-Qubati (virtually). The event was also attended by Prof. Abdelghani Hamid Ahmed, Acting President of the University of Science and Technology, and Mr. Mohammed Ali Mohammed, representative of Alam Al-Injaz Training and Education Company for the Saudi Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development.
The launch comes following the accreditation of three vocational and training centers in Yemen as official entities authorized to conduct professional examinations for workers heading to Saudi Arabia, in coordination with the Saudi Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development. Among these centers is the Al-Janad Center for Training and Skills Development in Taiz, alongside two others in Aden and Hadramout.
Prof. Al-Qubati expressed his delight at the official accreditation of Al-Janad Center as an authorized professional testing facility in Yemen, describing the step as a major milestone toward enhancing the quality and preparedness of Yemeni workers according to international standards. He noted that the initiative will boost their competitiveness in both local and regional labor markets.
He further emphasized that this partnership reflects the commitment of the Saudi leadership and the Ministry to supporting human capital development and empowering Arab talent, in line with Saudi Vision 2030, which prioritizes human development and sustainable growth.
The program aims to raise the efficiency and skill levels of incoming workers and ensure that their qualifications align with the requirements of the Saudi labor market through an integrated system of professional testing and verification. This will help reduce occupational risks and enable employers to recruit highly qualified professionals.
It is worth noting that the initiative will allow Yemeni workers to complete their professional testing locally before traveling to Saudi Arabia, thereby improving their qualifications and enhancing their professional and economic status in accordance with international quality and accreditation standards.
