Accounting and Finance Department Examines Two Graduation Research Projects

The Accounting and Finance Department at the Faculty of Administrative Sciences and Humanities examined two graduation research projects submitted by the department’s students in fulfillment of the requirements for a bachelor’s degree. The examination was attended by faculty members and a number of students.

The first research project, titled “The Role of Applying Tax Governance Principles in Reducing Tax Evasion: A Field Study from the Perspective of Tax Administration Staff in Taiz,” examined the importance of tax governance and its role in promoting transparency and tax compliance and reducing tax evasion. The research was supervised by Dr. Fath Al-Mahdhar and examined by Dr. Muath Taher.

The department also examined a second research project titled “The Impact of Electronic Accounting Information Systems on the Quality of Financial Reporting.” The study examined the role of electronic accounting systems in improving the efficiency and accuracy of financial reporting and supporting decision-making in organizations. The research was supervised by Dr. Muath Taher and examined by Dr. Fadl Abdulmaghni.

The examination committees commended the students’ academic efforts and the relevance of the research topics, highlighting their practical and academic value for advancing the fields of accounting and finance. They also stressed the importance of continuing to promote academic research and aligning its outcomes with the needs of the labor market and public- and private-sector institutions.
