Aljanad University Tops Private Universities in Taiz According to Webometrics Ranking

Aljanad  University for Science and Technology has topped the ranking of private universities based in Taiz, according to the latest Webometrics global ranking. This ranking, which is the largest university assessment system in the world, is issued by Spain's Higher Council for Scientific Research and covers over thirty thousand academic institutions.

Aljanad advanced to the 22nd position among both public and private universities in Yemen, up from the 37th position in the previous ranking by the same site updated every six months.

Globally, Aljanad improved by 6,129 places compared to the last ranking. This significant progress reflects the university's rapid advancement and the diligent, fruitful efforts that have made it a beacon of success within just a few years.

The evaluation is based on three main indicators: Excellence, Impact, and Openness. Al Janad ranked 12th locally in the Impact category, 15th in Openness, and 38th in Excellence. Overall, it achieved the 22nd spot among both public and private universities in Yemen.

It is noteworthy that 31,000 academic institutions from over 200 countries are ranked according to indicators that measure the virtual presence of universities through their websites, the visibility and transparency of their content, and the strength and distinction of their scientific research.
