The Human Resources Department, under the auspices of the university’s General Secretariat, inaugurated today a three-day training course on occupational safety and security. The course, conducted by Al-Janad Training and Skills Development Center, aims to enhance professional capabilities and promote risk prevention measures.
Targeting the university's security and services team, the training is led by instructor Ahmed Al-Zuraji and covers essential topics designed to raise awareness and improve skills in occupational safety, health management, and emergency response.
The course seeks to empower participants with the skills to efficiently handle emergencies and familiarize them with the latest tools and techniques in professional safety and security. It also provides a practical platform for participants to test their abilities and refine their skills in managing critical situations.
Instructor Ahmed Al-Zuraji introduced the concept of occupational safety and health management and explained the theory of fire formation, focusing on the "fire triangle." He elaborated on the theories and principles of fire suppression, highlighting the importance of early warning systems.
The course also includes sessions on automatic fire suppression systems, the proper use of manual extinguishers, and hands-on techniques for extinguishing fires. Participants will learn to conduct risk assessments for facilities, define the roles of safety personnel and teams within organizations, and understand the responsibilities of emergency response teams in various scenarios.
The training concludes with an overview of rescue and evacuation methods during emergencies, an introduction to basic first aid practices, and practical exercises on fire suppression techniques.
This course is part of a series of training programs organized by the university to foster a safe and sustainable working environment, contributing to the achievement of quality and safety standards across its facilities.
