Basmat Amal Youth Initiative organized its third annual Ramadan gathering last night, bringing together students, faculty, administrators, and parents in a spiritually uplifting and socially engaging atmosphere. The event, held under the auspices of the Deanship of Student Affairs, was attended by University President Dr. Mohyeddine Al-Qubati and several academic and administrative figures.
In his opening remarks, Dr. Mohammed Al-Wahhabi, Dean of Student Affairs, welcomed the attendees and commended student-led initiatives for their role in fostering community awareness. He emphasized the significance of events that combine education and entertainment, contributing to the holistic development of university students. He also reaffirmed the university’s commitment to supporting such meaningful activities.
The gathering featured an insightful lecture by Mr. Mamdouh Al-Himyari, who spoke about Ramadan’s spiritual values and their impact on personal and societal growth. He highlighted the importance of using the holy month as an opportunity to cultivate positive ethics and values.
The evening also included nasheed (Islamic chants) and artistic performances by a group of vocalists, adding to the event’s spiritual ambiance. Additionally, a theatrical sketch and interactive activities provided entertainment and joy for attendees, making the gathering a memorable experience.
