Al-Janad University for Science and Technology inaugurated the first Quran competition, with 30 male and female students competing in an atmosphere of faith and spirited competition.

The competition is divided into four categories: five chapters’, ten chapters’, twenty chapters’, and the entire Quran. The preliminary rounds began today with the five and ten chapters’ categories, under the supervision of two specialized judging panels led by renowned Quran reciters Sheikh Mohammed Abduljabbar Al-Abbasi and Sheikh Ahmed Ali Saeed.

The competition will continue on Wednesday with the remaining categories, culminating in an awards ceremony on Thursday to honor the winners for their dedication to Quran memorization and recitation.

This initiative reflects the university’s commitment to encouraging students to memorize the Quran, reinforce religious values, and provide a competitive environment that enhances their recitation skills in accordance with proper Tajweed rules.
