Department of Medical Laboratories Celebrates World Laboratory Day with a Scientific Event

Al Janad University for Science and Technology celebrated World Laboratory Day on Tuesday, April 15, 2025, with a vibrant scientific event organized by the Department of Medical Laboratories under the auspices of the Dean of the Faculty of Medical Sciences. The event highlighted the essential contributions of laboratories to healthcare and scientific advancement.

The program featured a series of dynamic segments that reflected the scientific talent and innovation of students in the Department of Medical Laboratories. Central to the celebration was a scientific exhibition showcasing educational models representing various laboratory divisions and fields. The displays underscored the students’ ability to merge theoretical knowledge with practical laboratory applications.

A lively scientific competition added further excitement to the event, drawing enthusiastic participation from attendees. The contest not only tested students’ academic depth but also fostered a spirit of healthy competition across multiple branches of laboratory science.

In a notable show of solidarity, the event included a dedicated segment in support of Palestine, particularly Gaza. Students delivered a message of compassion and staged a symbolic stand, expressing their support for the Palestinian people and emphasizing the deep connection between scientific pursuit and humanitarian values.

The event was attended by a number of university officials and faculty members, including Secretary-General Dr. Ameen Al-Haidari, Dean of the Faculty of Medical Sciences Dr. Mansour Al-Kholidi, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering Dr. Abdulraqib Ghaleb, along with department heads, academic staff, and parents.
