As part of its applied learning activities, Department of Sharia and Law at the university organized a mock trial training session under the auspices of Faculty of Administrative Sciences and Humanities. The initiative aimed to strengthen the practical legal skills of students.
The activity targeted fourth-year students in the department and was also attended by students from other levels, reflecting the department’s commitment to broadening the learning experience and fostering legal awareness across the student body.
The session was attended by Dr. Mohammed Al-Salmi, Head of the Department of Sharia and Law, Judge Dr. Abdulalim Aqlaan, as well as attorneys Murad Alayah and Musheer Al-Jahlani. These legal professionals enriched the mock trial with their insights and expert guidance, sharing valuable experiences from their work in judiciary and legal practice.
During the session, participating students took on the roles of judges, lawyers, prosecutors, and defendants, simulating a courtroom environment. Their performances demonstrated strong advocacy skills and the ability to analyze legal cases effectively.
This initiative reflects the department’s dedication to bridging theoretical knowledge with real-world practice, and to preparing students for careers in the judiciary, legal consultancy, and law practice.
