As part of its ongoing cosmetic dentistry training series, the Internship Program at the Department of dentistry at Al-Janad University held a specialized training course today titled “Digital Smile Design.” The course was conducted under the supervision of Dr. Sadeq Al-Tayyar, Consultant in Prosthodontics, and aimed to equip internship doctors with advanced skills in digital aesthetic dentistry.
The training offered a comprehensive scientific curriculum that integrated both theoretical foundations and practical applications. Key topics included the core principles of smile design, its significance in modern aesthetic dentistry, and essential aesthetic parameters such as the golden ratio, symmetry, and smile lines.
The course also covered the stages of digital diagnosis and planning—starting from facial and jaw analysis to the assessment of tooth color, shape, and positioning. Participants received hands-on training in leading design software tools such as DDS and Smile Designer Pro, learning how to convert clinical data into detailed 3D models.
In addition to lectures and demonstrations, the course featured interactive workshops showcasing before-and-after case studies and digital simulations. Attendees practiced advanced techniques including facial analysis and three-dimensional smile modeling, gaining practical insight into the latest trends in digital dental aesthetics.
The training reflects the Internship Program’s commitment to developing future-ready dental professionals proficient in cutting-edge cosmetic procedures and digital tools.
