Al-Janad University for Science and Technology has once again secured its position as the top-ranking private university in Taiz Governorate, according to the July 2025 edition of the Webometrics global university rankings. This marks the second consecutive year the university has maintained this leading position, underscoring its consistent academic and digital performance.
Nationally, Al-Janad University placed 14th among both governmental and private universities across Yemen—an achievement that highlights its rapid progress and growing prominence in academic and institutional excellence. The university also ranked second in Taiz across all institutions and fifth among all private universities in the country.
University President Dr. Mohyeddine Al-Qubati congratulated faculty, staff, and students on this achievement, emphasizing that the ranking reflects the university’s ongoing commitment to academic quality, research excellence, and technological advancement. He credited the accomplishment to collective effort and teamwork, affirming it as motivation to continue striving for higher standards.
The Webometrics Ranking of World Universities is one of the most comprehensive academic performance assessments globally. It is issued by the Cybermetrics Lab, a research group of the Spanish National Research Council (CSIC), and evaluates over 32,000 universities based on academic excellence and digital visibility.
This recognition affirms Al-Janad University’s dedication to advancing higher education and research in Yemen and reinforces its standing as a leading academic institution both locally and nationally.
