Aljanad University for Science and Technology took part in a national training workshop for university liaison officers, held in Yemen’s interim capital, Aden, as part of preparations for the 2025 Yemen National University Ranking. The event was organized by the Ministry of Higher Education, Scientific Research, Technical Education, and Vocational Training, under the patronage of H.E. Prof. Khaled Ahmed Al-Wasabi and with support from the Al-Awn Foundation for Development.
Representing Aljanad University was Dr. Sameer Al-Asbahi, Dean of the Center for Academic Development and Quality Assurance, who joined fellow liaison officers and members of the National Ranking Higher Committee from 24 universities across the country.
The two-day workshop, held under the theme “Together for Enhancing the Competitiveness of Yemeni Universities,” aimed to train participants in using the national university ranking platform. The program focused on strengthening institutional performance and data quality in alignment with both national and international standards.
Speaking at the opening, Deputy Minister for Educational Affairs Dr. Khaled Basaleem underscored the significance of the workshop, highlighting its role in improving higher education quality and ensuring stronger representation of Yemeni universities in regional and global rankings. He also emphasized the importance of transparency and the need for accurate, trustworthy data.
Al-Janad University’s participation underscores its continued dedication to advancing academic quality and institutional excellence, and its active role in shaping the future of higher education in Yemen and beyond.
