Al-Janad University Hosts AI Applications Showcase at Faculty of Engineering and IT

The Department of Artificial Intelligence and Data Science at Al-Janad University’s Faculty of Engineering and Information Technology held a scientific event earlier this week under the theme “Discover AI with Us”, aimed at raising awareness of artificial intelligence technologies and their practical applications.

The event drew strong interest from students and visitors, who explored six interactive stations designed to present live demonstrations and simplified explanations of key AI concepts and applications.

Exhibits included training AI models to recognize sounds, images, and movement; exploring AI-powered tools for generating images and videos while comparing results with human-created content; and showcasing methods for detecting AI-generated material. Other stations highlighted AI applications across various academic fields, while also inviting participants to share their perspectives on the role of AI in their educational and professional paths.

Organizers noted that the initiative offered participants a rich, hands-on learning experience that blended knowledge with interaction, helping demystify AI concepts and increase awareness of its growing impact across multiple aspects of life.

They emphasized that such activities play a vital role in bridging the gap between technical fields and the wider public, while also supporting modern educational approaches that integrate AI tools into both learning and production environments.
