Therapeutic Nutrition Department Launches Health Awareness Campaign at Taiz Schools

The Department of Therapeutic Nutrition at Faculty of Medical Sciences, Al-Janad University, has launched a large-scale field awareness campaign across several schools in Taiz City. The initiative aims to promote Healthy diet and strengthen students’ understanding of proper nutrition.

The campaign featured a series of engaging activities, including classroom lectures, extracurricular sessions, hands-on workshops, and educational competitions. Informational posters and awareness materials were also distributed by a team of specialists and student trainees from the department.

Campaign coordinator Zainab Al-Areefi explained that the initiative seeks to instill nutritional awareness among schoolchildren and their families while fostering community partnerships between the university and public education institutions. It also provides valuable field training opportunities for students in health communication and public awareness.

The activities received strong engagement from schools and parents, who praised the campaign’s interactive approach and its relevance to students’ daily health needs. The department plans to expand the campaign in upcoming phases to reach more schools and communities across the region.
