Al-Janad University for Science and Technology celebrated World Pharmacists Day with a special scientific event organized by the Department of Pharmacy, under the auspices of University President Prof. Muhyeddine Al-Qubati. The event was held in cooperation with the Medical Association for Human Development and attended by representatives from several leading pharmaceutical companies.
In his opening remarks, Dr. Mansour Al-Kholidi, Dean of the Faculty of Medical Sciences, welcomed guests and participants, emphasizing the importance of celebrating this global occasion, which highlights the vital role of pharmacists in promoting community health. He also commended the efforts of the organizing team for their contribution to advancing pharmaceutical awareness and education.
The event featured the participation of Dr. Mohammed Al-Soufi, Director of the Higher Authority for Medicines (Taiz Branch), Dr. Ismail Al-Khaili, Chaiman of the Pharmacists Syndicate in Taiz, along with a group of academics and pharmacy professionals who shared their expertise and experiences in the field.
The program included interactive exhibitions and informational booths showcasing various fields and applications of pharmacy, held in the university’s main hall and courtyard. Students from the Department of Pharmacy actively participated, engaging visitors in discussions on the profession’s social and scientific impact.
The ceremony was attended by Dr. Muhyeddine Al-Qubati, university president, alongside faculty members, pharmacists, and representatives from participating pharmaceutical companies — Star Plus, Al-Noor, Cairo Mayas, and Nutricia–HSA Trading Group — whose contributions enriched the event through presentations and educational exhibits.
