The Nursing Department at the College of Medical Sciences is continuing its comprehensive clinical training program for nursing students as part of the department’s academic curriculum. The initiative, conducted in collaboration with several hospitals and health centers across Taiz, is designed to bridge the gap between classroom learning and real-world clinical practice, while strengthening students’ professional and interpersonal skills in authentic healthcare environments.

As part of the program, second-year students are completing their Medical-Surgical Nursing rotations at Al-Thawra General Hospital and Rupublican Hospital. Third-year students are focusing on Maternity and Obstetric Nursing at the Women’s and Obstetric Emergency Center at Al-Thawra Hospital, in addition to hands-on Emergency Nursing experience at the Military Hospital.

Meanwhile, fourth-year students are engaged in Psychiatric and Mental Health Nursing training at the Psychiatric Hospital, alongside practical fieldwork in Community Health Nursing. Their community placements include schools, workshops, correctional facilities, and homes—providing opportunities to apply preventive and educational nursing concepts within real social settings.

The program, now in its second consecutive month, continues to achieve notable success under the direct supervision of faculty members and clinical instructors. Their guidance ensures a supportive and dynamic learning environment that helps students develop critical clinical competencies and prepares them to enter the nursing profession with confidence and excellence.
