Students from the Department of Management Information Systems carried out a field visit to Lojina Mineral Water Factory, as part of an experiential learning initiative aimed at linking academic study with real-world practice. The visit, led by Dr. Amgad Saeed, Head of the Department, sought to strengthen students’ applied knowledge and provide firsthand exposure to modern management and production systems in industrial settings.

During the visit, students explored the factory’s operational management processes and learned how information systems support production, quality assurance, inventory management, and data organization. They were also introduced to the computerized control systems used to monitor packaging and ensure compliance with quality standards throughout the production line.

Dr. Saeed noted that the visit forms part of the department’s strategy to equip students with practical experience and prepare them for the job market by engaging them directly with professional work environments. He emphasized that integrating theoretical knowledge with practical application is key to developing competent, industry-ready graduates.

Students expressed their appreciation for the opportunity, describing the visit as a valuable learning experience that deepened their understanding of how information systems contribute to efficiency, performance improvement, and innovation in modern manufacturing.
