The Department of Dentistry launched its field training activities today for fifth-level students as part of the Public Dental Health course, beginning with an awareness visit to Al-Noor Private School.
The program included health education sessions for school students on the importance of oral hygiene and methods of preventing tooth decay. Students also distributed dental care kits containing toothbrushes, toothpaste, and oral hygiene supplies, along with healthy snacks that promote dental health.
As part of the visit, dental students conducted on-site medical checkups for children to assess their oral health, identifying cases that require follow-up treatment at the university’s dental clinics.
The initiative reflects the department’s commitment to promoting health awareness and serving the community through practical programs that combine field learning with social responsibility.
