The Masarak Foundation for Peace and Development, in collaboration with Al-Janad University for Science and Technology, organized a youth forum titled “From Idea to Impact: How Can Youth Shape Their Path in Times of Challenge?” The event marked the Foundation’s first official activity and signaled the beginning of a series of upcoming programs focused on development and peacebuilding.
The opening session was attended by university faculty, youth representatives, and community figures. In his speech Dr. Gamil Zaid, Dean of the Faculty of Administrative Sciences and Humanities , welcomed the guests and congratulated Masarak Foundation on its promising launch. He commended the youth-led initiatives that seek to inspire positive change, affirming Al-Janad University’s commitment to supporting youth engagement as a vital force for national progress and sustainable development.
Ms. Aml Al-Lutfi Al-Faqih, Chairperson of the Masarak Foundation, expressed her appreciation to Al-Janad University for its cooperation and support, emphasizing that the forum represents a foundational milestone in the Foundation’s mission to build an aware and responsible generation that contributes actively to peace and development.
The forum featured a series of interactive sessions and discussions delivered by distinguished academics and experts addressing key intellectual, psychological, and leadership themes:
“Awareness of Time: The Gateway to Wisdom and Renaissance” – Dr. Abdulkarim Bakkar highlighted the importance of understanding one’s historical context and adapting to the pace of change as a foundation for renewal and progress.
“Confronting Psychological and Social Challenges Effectively” – Mr. Anas Al-Madhhaji discussed the mental and emotional pressures facing today’s youth and emphasized the role of inner balance and positive thinking in overcoming them.
“From Idea to Impact: Turning Vision into Action” – Mr. Jiyab Al-Batani provided practical strategies for transforming ideas into community-based initiatives that achieve measurable results.
“Awareness and Responsibility: The Role of Youth in Societal Development” – Dr. Altaf Al-Ahdal examined the connection between awareness, responsibility, and social transformation.
“Leadership Empowerment: The Youth Journey Toward Change” – Mr. Mohammed Al-Adimi focused on leadership as a process of self-development that precedes managing others.
The forum aimed to enhance youth awareness, promote peace as a personal and social value, and motivate participants to take responsible and purposeful action. It also sought to foster collaboration between academic institutions and civil society organizations in empowering young people to become agents of positive change.
Held amid rapid global changes and increasing societal challenges, the forum provided a constructive platform for dialogue and reflection, inspiring youth to transform their ideas into sustainable initiatives that contribute to the advancement and resilience of their communities.
