Al-Janad University’s Dental Internship Program at the Department of Dentistry is continuing its basic and advanced orthodontics training course for the fifth consecutive day, led by Dr. Farouq Al-Dhafri, with the participation of dental interns and a number of interested practitioners.
The course, which spans more than a week, is designed to strengthen participants’ diagnostic competencies and enhance their clinical application in orthodontic cases.
In recent sessions, the program has focused on the theoretical foundations of orthodontic diagnosis and treatment planning. These sessions included a structured overview of study model analysis, radiographic interpretation, and the integration of diagnostic tools to achieve comprehensive and accurate case assessments.
The practical component has featured hands-on training in key clinical procedures, including bracket positioning, handling basic orthodontic systems, and the placement of initial archwires and elastic ligatures.
This training course forms part of the university’s specialized professional development initiatives aimed at improving the clinical readiness of dental interns and aligning their practice with contemporary standards in orthodontic care.
