Round of 16 Kicks Off in the Seventh Al-Janad Football Championship

The Round of 16 of the Seventh Al-Janad Football Championship is set to begin tomorrow, Thursday, at Al-Ahli Sports Club Stadium in the city of Taiz. Two matches will be held in the afternoon to open this stage of the tournament, which is expected to feature strong competition among the qualified teams.

In the first match, the fourth-year Management Information Systems team will face the first-year Networks and Cybersecurity team. The second match will bring together the third-year Accounting team and the first-year Civil Engineering team, amid expectations of strong spectator turnout and wide student interest.

The championship has seen the participation of 24 teams representing various departments and academic levels at the university, with 16 teams advancing to the second round. The qualified teams are: fourth-year Management Information Systems, first-year Management Information Systems, third-year Communication and Marketing, second-year Accounting, third-year Pharmacy, first-year Civil Engineering, first-year Accounting, second-year Networks, first-year Technology (A), first-year Architectural Engineering, third-year Accounting, first-year Technology (B), first-year Artificial Intelligence, first-year Networks, fifth-year Pharmacy, and second-year Artificial Intelligence.

The tournament aims to promote sportsmanship and foster positive competition among university students.
