Third-Year Marketing Communications Crowned Champions of Al-Janad’s Seventh Football Tournament

    University Media

    The Seventh Football Tournament of Al-Janad University for Science and Technology concluded on Tuesday at Al-Ahli Sports and Cultural Club Stadium in Taiz, featuring 32 teams representing various faculties, departments, and academic levels across the university. The competition was organized under the supervision of university coach Captain Anis Ghanem.

    The Third-Year Marketing Communications team secured the championship title with an emphatic 4–1 victory over the First-Year Information Systems side in the final. Abdulaziz Fakhri Shaif and Malik Amin Hassan each delivered a brace for the champions, while Abdullah Al-Dhahabli scored the lone goal for Information Systems.

    The final unfolded in a vibrant and celebratory atmosphere, with referee Nabil Farhan officiating the match and sports commentator Hamdi Al-Nahari providing live commentary. The tournament concluded with an awards ceremony during which trophies, medals, and prizes were presented, alongside special recognition for key organizers Samir Al-Mulaiki and Abdulrahman Taha for their dedicated behind-the-scenes contributions.

    On the individual honors front, Omar Abdulrahman Suleiman was named Player of the Tournament, Ahmed Riyadh claimed the Golden Boot as top scorer, and Mohammed Adnan Al-Saqqaf earned Best Goalkeeper honors. The Fourth-Year Information Systems team received the Fair Play Award, while the First-Year Information Systems team finished as runners-up, collecting silver medals. The championship trophy and gold medals were presented to the Third-Year Marketing Communications team.

    The closing ceremony was attended by Dr. Amgad Saeed, Head of the Management Information Systems Department; Fares Al-Banna, Media Director; Murad Al-Alayah, Head of Student Activities; university designer Imran Mahfouz; several Al-Ahli Club players, including standout Shadi Jamal; and a large crowd of supporters.
