The Deanship of Academic Affairs, in collaboration with the Center for Academic Development and Quality Assurance, held the fourth periodic review workshop for the Bachelor of Business Administration programme on Tuesday, under the auspices of University Rector Mohyeddine Al-Qubati. The workshop convened the programme’s advisory committee as part of the university’s continuing efforts to strengthen its academic provision and enhance learning outcomes in response to evolving demands.
The advisory committee brought together a broad range of stakeholders, including faculty members, employers, representatives of the local community, as well as students and alumni. This inclusive approach is designed to deepen the integration of academic and practical perspectives, ensure closer alignment between programme outcomes and the needs of a rapidly changing labour market, and reinforce the programme’s contribution to the wider community.
The workshop focused on a comprehensive review of the programme’s mission, objectives and learning outcomes, alongside an assessment of graduate attributes. It also examined updates to the curriculum to reflect ongoing digital transformation within the business environment, with the aim of strengthening academic quality and preparing graduates with the skills required to compete effectively.
The event saw strong engagement from senior academic leadership, including the Dean of Academic Affairs, the Dean of the Center for Academic Development and Quality Assurance, and the Dean of the Faculty of Administrative Sciences and Humanities, alongside members of the advisory committee and representatives from relevant institutions. Their participation highlighted the university’s close engagement with its community and its commitment to academic excellence and alignment with national and international accreditation standards.
