Al-Janad Holds Workshop on Learning Outcomes Assessment and Enhancement Plans

Under the auspices of University President Prof. Mohyeddine Al-Qubati, in coordination with the Deanship of Quality Assurance and Development and the Deanship of Academic Affairs, the university  recently held an extensive discussion to review and endorse the results of learning outcomes assessment and approve enhancement plans for academic programs seeking programmatic accreditation. The event brought together a broad cross-section of the university’s academic staff.

The discussion focused on reviewing assessment findings and approving improvement plans for three academic programs currently undergoing accreditation procedures in accordance with the standards of the Academic Accreditation and Quality Assurance Council of the Ministry of Higher Education. The programs include Pharmacy in the Faculty of Medical Sciences, Information Technology in the Faculty of Engineering and Information Technology, and Business Administration in the Faculty of Administrative and Human Sciences.

Participants were presented with comprehensive reports detailing the assessment of learning outcomes across the three programs. University evaluation teams delivered in-depth presentations on key findings and performance indicators, highlighting the extent to which the intended learning outcomes had been achieved and their alignment with established academic quality standards and accreditation requirements.

The Deanship of the Development and Quality Assurance Center, together with the Deanship of Academic Affairs, also provided a detailed analysis of the assessment data and showcased the evaluation instruments developed internally by the university. The presentations reflected Al-Janad’s commitment to building a modern, evidence-based academic assessment system grounded in measurable performance indicators and internationally recognized quality standards.

The workshop featured extensive academic discussions and contributions from faculty members, focusing on how assessment findings can be effectively utilized to strengthen academic programs and enhance their quality and effectiveness. The event concluded with the formal endorsement of the learning outcomes assessment results for the three programs and the approval of their corresponding enhancement plans. Participants also commended the effectiveness of the assessment tools developed by the academic departments throughout the program development process.
