Al-Janad University for Science and Technology has launched the first training course under its specialized internship programme in dental photography, targeting dental interns and students from the Department of Dentistry. The initiative forms part of the university’s ongoing efforts to strengthen clinical competencies and improve practitioners’ ability to document clinical cases in accordance with contemporary professional standards.
The course combined theoretical instruction with hands-on training. The theoretical sessions introduced the principles of professional dental photography, covering optimal image positioning, smartphone camera settings, and effective lighting techniques to produce high-quality clinical images that support accurate diagnosis and medical documentation.
The practical component took place in the university’s internship clinics, where participants were divided into small training groups and guided through each stage of the photography process. They received step-by-step instruction on selecting the appropriate shooting environment, adjusting smartphone settings, zoom functions, and macro lenses to capture professional-grade clinical photographs.
The course was delivered by trainer Hasnaa Al-Zaqri, whose interactive approach and practical expertise enriched the training experience and maximized participants’ learning outcomes.
