Al-Janad University for Science and Technology has achieved a significant academic milestone by ranking fourth nationally and first among universities in Taiz Governorate in the 2026 National University Rankings, issued by Yemen’s Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research. The ranking evaluated the performance of 14 public and private universities across the country.
This achievement marks a major step forward in the University's development and reflects its rapid progress in academic quality, scientific research, and institutional governance, despite its relatively recent establishment compared with many of the participating universities.
Commenting on the achievement, Prof. Mohyeddine Al-Qubati , President of Al-Janad University, expressed his pride in the University's performance, emphasizing that the accomplishment is the result of institutional commitment, teamwork, and the collective efforts of the University's academic, administrative, and technical staff in enhancing the quality of education, research, and overall institutional performance.
Prof. Al-Qubati noted that the ranking further strengthens the University's commitment to continuous improvement and innovation, calling on all members of the University community to build on this success and strive for even higher standing at both the regional and international levels.
The National University Rankings evaluate higher education institutions against a comprehensive set of academic and institutional indicators, including the quality of academic programs and learning outcomes, academic accreditation and quality assurance, faculty performance, scientific research, digital learning infrastructure, and institutional governance.
The 2026 ranking is particularly significant as it marks Al-Janad University's first participation in the national evaluation. The inaugural ranking cycle was limited to universities established before 2014, making the University's strong debut a clear indicator of the success of its strategic development plans and its growing competitiveness within Yemen's higher education sector.
This achievement further reinforces Al-Janad University's position as one of Yemen's emerging leading universities and reflects its sustained commitment to delivering high-quality education, advancing scientific research, serving the community, and contributing to the country's national development.
